Some New Pics

I have been neglecting this site on and off. But now that I am on Spring Break, why not catch up. Nathaniel is now 11 months old and it is hard to believe. Time flies so quickly!!! Nathaniel has decided to make it his goal to walk by his 1st birthday. He has started to cruise between different pieces of furniture. And if he can't make it he lets mom and dad know so they can give some assistance. He has decided that vegetables are not his thing!!! He loves fruit, but those veggies are not on the top of his list. Dad is thankful that they fall under the same category on the Food Pyramid!!!! :)

Dad is helping me out, but I loved riding on the big boy toy!! Trying to decide if I really like the swing or not?
Mom's creation! It looks like the Alfla (sp?) style,

but if you look closely, it is actually a mohawk!!!

Reading

Nathaniel decided that he would get an early start on reading. Some of his favorites are: A Fine, Fine School (pictured), Pigges and Sandra Boynton books!

New things.

Some new things that Nathaniel is trying - standing, crawling, and chewing on the crib!!!!

Nathaniel's way of carrying things around while he tries to climb and crawl.

Oh yeah mom and dad also tried to cut Nathaniel's hair and actually ended up giving him a slight mullet!!! We quickly cut the back after we noticed that.

Hanging around

It has been awhile, I know!! But now I am following around a very active very motivated little man. He is everywhere and getting into everything!!! He has mastered crawling, standing up and walking along the couch in the matter of two to three weeks. He has realized that life is better if you are on the move!!!! This of course is keeping Eric and I very busy, but it is so fun watching him explore and get excited over some of the simplest things.

Nathaniel's Uncle Ben and Aunt Carolynne came to visit us in February. It was great to see them and Nathaniel loved to play with Uncle Ben's hair!!!

Nathaniel army crawling

Here is Nathaniel army crawling on 1/20/07!

Catching up!

Well, it has been awhile since I have had time to sit down and update the blog. Well Mother Nature gave me that chance. After getting close to probably 6 inches of snow along with drifting, I have been off school for 2 days! So anyway, here we go.
Nathaniel got his first flu, then it hit Eric and then me. Was not fun at all for any of us, but we got through it just in time to be physically stuck in the house for a day or two.
Nathaniel also began crawling on all fours. He quickly progressed from army crawling to 'big boy' crawling very quickly!
We finally were forced to move the crib mattress down, due to the fact that Nathaniel learned how to climb up on the bumpers a bit, but then Nathaniel quickly learned how to grab the top of the crib and pull himself to his knees. So we moved it down one more time. He is growing so fast! Eric mentioned last night that he realized that the next step in Nathaniel's development is to pull himself up to standing and then it is trying to walk!!!
Well enough jabber, here are some pictures and video that we got of Nathaniel and his accomplishments.

Christmas

Well I finally have found time to update the blog with our exciting Christmas! We were at Grandma and Grandpa Roehrig's for Christmas weekend, then spent the day after Christmas with Grandma and Grandpa Cornthwaite. It was a fun time, but time flew and before I knew it I was back at school. Nathaniel had a blast getting to see all his extended family. He is a big ham and loved spending time with everyone. Here are a couple of the many pictures that were taken of our Christmas adventures.

Playing with my cousin Mya. She was helping me clean up my toys.

This is my cousin Ben, he was showing me how to use my new learning piano.

What is going on over there?

Mom and me unwrapping some presents. I never knew this could be so fun!
Mom was trying to open the box, but she is not that good at it
(or maybe it is because the manufactures make it next to impossible to get into the box without a knife).
There we go some good old fashioned tissue paper. This stuff makes the best toy!
I was showing Dad how I had mastered the playing of the piano.

Next year I am doing this by myself!!!!!

I am the biggest ham when someone points a camera at me!!!
